From the time we got up, around 8 this morning, to the time Esther got home, about a half hour ago (21:30*), we have been going, going, and going...
*21:30 = 9:30 pm. They use "military time" here.
Three kids out of school + 1 additional friend over for the day = a whole lot of activity around the house. But luckily, I was able to keep all the ruckus to a dull roar--well, for at least most of the day.
And while we didn't get to carve pumpkins (because I didn't have a free moment to go hunt for them), we improvised and made do with what we had: Oranges! Or mandarins* to be exact. Though the smallness of our "jack'o'lanterns" was a bit tricky to work with, we still managed to come out with some

Tomorrow we go swimming! Now if I can manage to survive that, I will be ready for the weekend!! Woo hoo!
